One of only a few cremello Jockey Club registered Thoroughbred stallions in the world.
Cremello Thoroughbred Stallion
Snowy River stands at 16.2hh, making him one of the taller colored Thoroughbred stallions standing stud in the United States today. Although renown for his unique and rare color, Snowy's heavy bone and stunning movement are classic traits of dressage champions and upper level hunters seen all over the world. He boasts excellent hooves and a strong foundation with the conformation of your usual, agile Thoroughbred. Snowy is homozygous dominant for the cream gene, which guarantees dilute offspring regardless of the dam; chestnut mares will always produce palominos when bred to Snowy, and black or bay mares can produce palominos, buckskins, or smoky blacks. Whether you are breeding for color, movement, conformation, or temperament, Snowy River is the perfect sire for those in search of a versatile sport-horse prospect from their mares, regardless of the breed. Snowy River was imported from Canada back into the United States in 2017 and will be standing to the public in 2018 with a limited book.
